Fawn Mckay
Fawn McKay's birthplace was Ogden Utah on September 15 1915. Fawn MCKAY, brought up in the Mormon Church's First Family, utilized her writing talent as well as expertise in research to write the fascinating psycho-historical biographical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945, under the name No Man is a Master of My History, she used both. This title is derived from a funeral speech delivered by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844. He shocked those he addressed with the words: You don't know me you never knew my heart. No man knows my history. My history is not known by anyone. Fawn aged 29, wrote Fawn has taken over the role of writer from that point on. These documents are not lacking however they contradict each with respect to each other. It's a daunting task to assemble these documents, separating first-hand accounts from copies that are third-hand and integrating Mormon accounts with those of non-Mormon people into a coherent mosaic. It is both exciting and informative. FawnBrodie took on this professional challenge. Her writings and research earned her fame all over all over the globe: Thaddeus Stephens. The DevilDrives. Thomas Jefferson. An intimate Historiography (1974) and later posthumously Richard Nixon.
